Welcome to Gâteau Groovy. By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of This Website

This website is intended to provide information about Gâteau Groovy’s services and allow users to submit inquiries and order requests. By using this site, you agree to use it for lawful purposes only and not to misuse or disrupt the website or its functionality.

2. Orders & Booking

• Submitting an inquiry form does not guarantee availability or confirm a booking.
• Orders are only confirmed once:
• Availability is confirmed
• An invoice has been issued
• A signed agreement (if applicable) is completed
• Payment has been received within the stated timeframe

• For custom cakes, full payment is required to secure your order.
• For weddings, a 25% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due three (3) weeks prior to the event.
• Failure to complete payment within the provided timeframe may result in loss of your requested date.

3. Pricing

All pricing is subject to change at any time without notice. Final pricing will be confirmed at the time of booking and reflected in your invoice.

Additional design changes, add-ons, or last-minute requests may result in additional charges.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

• Custom Cake Orders:
• Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to pickup to be eligible for a refund
• Cancellations made within 72 hours of pickup are non-refundable

Wedding Orders:

• The 25% retainer is non-refundable
• Cancellations made within three (3) weeks of the event are non-refundable in full
• All cancellation terms are outlined in your contract and override any general assumptions.

5. Changes to Orders

• Custom cake orders may not be modified within 72 hours of pickup
• Wedding orders may allow one revision, submitted at least 60 days prior to the event
• Additional changes may incur additional fees and are subject to availability

6. Pickup & Delivery

Pickup:

• All standard orders are pickup only unless otherwise agreed upon
• Pickup details will be confirmed during booking
• Customers are responsible for transporting cakes safely once picked up

Delivery:

• Delivery is available for qualifying orders (minimum spend required)
• Delivery fees vary by location
• Gâteau Groovy is not responsible for any damage once delivery and setup have been completed

7. Venue & Event Responsibility

Clients are responsible for:

• Confirming that their venue allows outside desserts
• Providing accurate delivery and setup details
• Gâteau Groovy is not responsible for issues caused by venue restrictions, delays, or miscommunication from third parties.

8. Product Disclaimer

All Gâteau Groovy products are 100% vegan. However, we operate in a shared kitchen environment and cannot guarantee that products are free from allergens such as gluten or nuts.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

9. Design & Creative Freedom

While we strive to bring your vision to life, all designs are executed in Gâteau Groovy’s artistic style. By placing an order, you agree to trust the creative direction and interpretation of your design.

10. Limitation of Liability

Gâteau Groovy is not liable for:

• Damage occurring after pickup or delivery completion
• Issues resulting from improper handling or storage
• Allergic reactions
• Delays or disruptions caused by events outside of our control
• Our total liability, if any, is limited to the amount paid for your order.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including images, branding, and design—is the property of Gâteau Groovy and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.

12. Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using this site, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in that policy.

13. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
